Alignment Among Baptists

Inman First Baptist Church maintains dual alignment with both the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF). Members are given the opportunity to designate the recipient of their mission offerings according to personal conviction.

The church affirms the leadership of women in ministry, recognizing and supporting the ordination of women and their service in roles such as deacons and other positions of spiritual leadership.

LOVING GOD AND LOVING OTHERS

Since 1865 Inman First Baptist Church has been giving hope to our community. At the end of 2019 our church began a discernment process about the next season of our life together as church. Out of a season of prayer that took place during the COVID-19 pandemic we updated our logo and centered ourselves on the two most important commands and teachings of Jesus: love God and love others as ourselves.

As a church we are not perfect. But our commitment is to live up to Jesus' commandments of love. We hope you will join us in that commitment.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39).
