Jeremiah grew up in Shelby, NC. It was in college that Jeremiah grew in his faith, joined a Baptist Church (University Baptist Church) for the first time, and was baptized. He felt a call to ministry in his senior year of college and following his graduation at UNC-Chapel Hill he went to Gardner-Webb Divinity School. He graduated in 2009 with a Master of Divinity and was called to serve with IFBC in early 2010. Since then, he met his wife Amber, was ordained, became a father to Lilly, completed his Doctor of Ministry at Gardner-Webb, and is still learning and growing in his calling.
Jeremiah's passion in ministry is to see church members of every age grow in their love of Jesus through spiritual formation and discipleship. He also is excited to help others discover their gifts in ministry and the joy of witnessing the deepening of relationships that occur when people bond over their love of God.
Jeremiah enjoys spending time with his family, taking photographs, eating at the fish camp, and has a strong affection for all things Star Trek and Star Wars. If you want to make Jeremiah happy, just ask to see a picture of his dog, Norm!
