What We Beleive
We believe.....
- Jesus is the Son of God.
- God desires His people to passionately worship Him.
- The Scriptures serve as a catalyst for transformation of the lives of individuals and the church.
- Our Church should operate as a unified family committed to identifying and using their spiritual gifts and should be led by men and women with the leadership gifts.
- Our purpose is to draw others into His presence, guide their spiritual journey, and equip them for ministry in the Church, their community and the world.
LOVING GOD AND LOVING OTHERS
Since 1865 Inman First Baptist Church has been giving hope to our community. At the end of 2019 our church began a discernment process about the next season of our life together as church. Out of a season of prayer that took place during the COVID-19 pandemic we updated our logo and centered ourselves on the two most important commands and teachings of Jesus: love God and love others as ourselves.
As a church we are not perfect. But our commitment is to live up to Jesus' commandments of love. We hope you will join us in that commitment.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39).
