Welcome from Our Pastor

We all have a need to belong.  One healthy way that need can be met is through belonging to a group.  Jesus understood that need when He founded the Church, a group of people who follow Jesus.  In Jesus' eyes, church is people, not a building. 

The Church is also understood to be the body of Christ, functioning to continue the work of Christ in the world.  That definition captures the attitude of the members of Inman First Baptist Church.

We try to keep Jesus' definition of church in mind in all we do.  We strive to keep our focus on  people, those already part of the Church, and those who are yet to become part of Jesus' Church.  Our primary task is to help people build a relationship with Jesus.  One very important part of building that relationship comes through being part of Jesus' family.  We believe this is in keeping with continuing the work of Jesus in this world.

Inman First Baptist Church is not a perfect representation of Jesus' family because we are all flawed human beings. However, we are in touch with the perfect love of Jesus and want to share that love with others.  If you would like to be part of such a group, please join us.
